Role

Norton Park SCIO is a charity supporting the voluntary sector in Edinburgh by providing high-quality, affordable workspace and conference facilities. Over 25 non-profits are based at Norton Park and many more use our centre for meetings, training and events.

We’re now looking for a practical, proactive Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our busy site.

This is a hands-on leadership role involving facilities management, contractor coordination, event support and team supervision. You'll lead a small operations team including facilities, reception and cleaning staff, and play a key part in ensuring our building is safe, welcoming and running smoothly for everyone who uses it.

You’ll also act as the main contact for our external health & safety provider and lead on improvements or repair projects. From troubleshooting urgent issues to preparing meeting rooms, this role suits someone who is just as comfortable carrying out practical tasks as they are managing people and planning ahead.

About You

We're looking for someone with experience in facilities, estates, building operations or similar environments. You’ll be comfortable managing people and contractors, keeping on top of maintenance, and stepping in when needed to keep things moving.

Strong people management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to great service are essential.
