About the role
ACOSVO is a small team with big aspirations, looking for an eager and excited new member. We are seeking a Communications and Events Officer to support the Communications and Events team to deliver our events programme and social media, as well as communicate marketing and informational materials to our members and relevant stakeholders.
Exemplary customer service skills is essential, as you will often be the first point of contact for our members and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience with social media management, online events, a strong grasp of written communication, and is comfortable writing creative copy and generating ideas. This is the perfect role for someone who is well organised, has an eye for detail, and a degree of self-management using initiative, discretion and judgement.
ACOSVO encourages staff to maintain a healthy work-life balance, and as such we are happy to talk about flexible working such as location, hours, etc. to maximise job satisfaction and productivity. Hours must however be worked within our core hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. Ideally, we would like the post-holder to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, however we will consider other options.
The location for this role is hybrid, with a purpose-driven approach, working from home or our workspace at Greyfriars Charteris Centre at Pleasance Edinburgh. There may be occasions when you will work at other locations within Edinburgh and across Scotland (these times will be arranged in advance).
Please note that this role is not suitable for less than 18 hours or as a job share.
