Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance & Admin Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing the organisation’s financial and administrative functions, ensuring effective systems and processes are in place to support our growth, efficiency, and resilience.

About the Role

As Finance & Admin Coordinator, you will oversee all financial operations including bookkeeping, budget management, and preparation of annual accounts. You will also manage office administration and play a key role in organisational development, working closely with the Chief Executive to ensure robust financial control and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce quarterly financial reports for the Chief Executive and funders.

• Maintain and improve financial systems using Xero and Excel.

• Manage invoices, cash handling, reconciliations, and cash flow.

• Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts.

• Oversee payroll, pensions, and HMRC compliance (including Gift Aid submissions).

• Liaise with external accountants for annual accounts preparation.

• Lead on office administration, policy updates, facilities management, and supplier contracts.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• A professional qualification in accounting/bookkeeping or demonstrable experience in financial management.

• Strong experience with Xero and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

• Skills in payroll and pensions processing, financial administration, and budget control.

• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Membership of AAT or similar.

• Knowledge of charity finance, compliance requirements, and experience in core-funded organisations.
