Do you have experience of working alongside people with learning disabilities? Are you passionate about making sure their voices are heard and valued?
Borders Care Voice is looking for a Local Citizens Panel Development Worker to join our team in the Scottish Borders. This is a part-time role (16 hours per week) with a salary of £23,569 – £25,825 pro-rata, plus generous benefits.
In this rewarding role, you’ll:
- Support people with learning disabilities and their unpaid carers to share their views and shape local health and social care services.
- Work closely with members of five Local Citizens Panels (LCPs) across the Scottish Borders.
- Help to ensure people with learning disabilities and their carers are represented, heard, and included in decision-making.
You’ll need to be comfortable travelling across the Borders, and there may be occasional evening or weekend commitments. Due to the rural nature of the area, access to a car is preferred. The role is fixed-term for 18 months, with the possibility of extension.
