Role

Do you want to make a difference to our children and young people?

Do you believe that every one of Scotland’s children and young people deserve the chance to flourish?

If so, this is the post for YOU!

About Youthpoint Glasgow

Aberour’s Youthpoint team helps children and young people living in communities with high levels of deprivation, crime and drug use. Crucially, youth workers reach out to young people who are being missed by other services, by meeting them on their territory – the streets – to build trusting relationships. You will work 16.25 hours a week and this post is being offered Fixed Term until 31st March 2026

What we are looking for....

The project works closely with young people who live in Glasgow, working on a one to one or group work basis using a youth work model approach. On detached streetwork you will provide information, advice and support to young people, their families and other agencies. You will work 16.25 hours a week and this post is being offered Fixed Term until 31st March 2026.

Applicants could come from a range of backgrounds and work experience but ideally should have experience in a similar role such as youth work, social work, community work, youth health and wellbeing.

Not afraid to test new ways of working, you will bring a fresh, caring, and collaborative approach which recognises strengths and responds empathically to the needs of children, young people, and their families – this will include early mornings, evenings, and weekend work.

At Aberlour we want to make sure every child and young person has the love, support and opportunity they need to reach their potential. If you share the same vision, we want you to join our

team.

What we offer...

As well as a supportive team and excellent training opportunities, we want all our employees to feel valued and rewarded for the vital work they do. When you work with us, we'll recognise your efforts with generous annual leave, an excellent employer pension scheme and a range of deals and

discounts across various retailers.
