Role

Stepping Stones has 40 years of experience working in North Edinburgh, supporting children and families through both one-to-one support and group work across community settings and in the home. 

Our vision is that all families supported by Stepping Stones are enabled to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives which support children to thrive.

We are currently recruiting for the role of Family Wellbeing Practitioner to work as part of our BWell Together team. This role is funded until 30th September 2026. 

BWell Together is Edinburgh’s North West partnership who work together to;

  • Improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people
  • Improve the resilience of children and young people – increasing the capacity for children, young people, and their families, to resolve difficulties and problems
  • Increase the capacity of parents/carers in supporting the emotional needs of their children and young people

The partnership consists of seven agencies; Circle, Stepping Stones North Edinburgh, Granton Youth, Intercultural Youth Scotland, Pilton Children’s Youth Project, Muirhouse Youth Development Project and Wester Hailes Youth Agency.  

Support will include the provision of one to one support for children and holistic family support, with the aim of building resilience, parenting capacity and positive relationships.
