Role

Do you want to help create a safer, more compassionate Scotland where all children can grow up safe, loved and respected?

Children First is Scotland’s national children’s charity. Every day, we stand alongside children, families and communities to protect and uphold the rights of every child.

We are looking for an Administrator to join our Safeguarders Panel Team, a dedicated team committed to ensuring the rights of children and young people are at the heart of decisions that affect them.

About the role

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our service, helping us meet the needs of children, Safeguarders and partners across Scotland.

As the first point of contact for the team, by phone and email, you will support everything from diary management and reporting to file maintenance and coordination. Working closely with our Contract Co-ordinators and leadership team, your work will make a real difference to children’s lives.

What kind of person are we looking for?

You’ll be someone who shares our commitment to putting children first. You will bring:

  • Proven experience in office administration or a relevant qualification
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, solution-focused attitude
  • Confidence in managing competing priorities and working to tight deadlines
  • Great communication skills and a friendly, professional manner

What you’ll get from us

We know that to protect children, we need to support our people. At Children First, you’ll find:

  • A supportive, inclusive workplace where your voice matters
  • A rewarding role with opportunities to learn and grow
  • 40 days annual leave per year (pro rata)
  • Flexible and hybrid working options
  • Enhanced family leave and wellbeing support
  • A contributory pension scheme

Our values

Our core values guide how each one of us works in our individual day to day job:

  • With love, we put children first.
  • With purpose, we transform children’s lives together.
  • With strength, we do whatever it takes to protect Scotland’s children.

Ready to join us?

We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and lived experiences who share our vision and values.
