Role

Join us at Care Support Scotland – a forward-thinking, compassionate organisation transforming social care across Scotland.

We are excited to offer a brand-new opportunity to shape the future of adult social care. As part of our two-year transformation and ambitious five-year strategy, we're recruiting a Learning and Practice Development Officer to play a pivotal role in nurturing talent and driving high performance across our services.

About the Role

You'll be at the heart of our newly launched Learning & Development Framework, supporting over 260 staff with tailored training, innovative learning approaches, and reflective practice. As a key member of our Developments Team, you’ll ensure our workforce is equipped to deliver outstanding person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate face-to-face and online training across services
  • Develop engaging, trauma-informed, person-centred learning content
  • Administer and continuously improve the organisation’s training plans
  • Lead on learning evaluation, training records, and quality compliance
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning and collaboration

What We’re Looking For

  • Enthusiastic, self-directed professional with a passion for developing others
  • Experience delivering training in adult social care (or related field)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A confident facilitator, comfortable guiding others through complex information
  • Emotionally intelligent, values-led, and excited by doing things differently
  • Able to travel across our services – a car and driving licence is essential

What We’re Looking For

Experience in L&D roles is desirable, but not essential – we value potential, adaptability, and a commitment to Care Support Scotland’s values above all.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a supportive, energised and compassionate team
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Opportunities to shape culture and practice across services
  • Real autonomy in your role, and a chance to make a lasting impact
  • Ongoing investment in your own professional development
