Role

West Scotland Deaf Children’s Society (WSDCS) provides social and emotional support to deaf children, young people and their families. The charity is based in Glasgow City Centre and provides support across the West of Scotland through clubs, events and a family support service. WSDCS is committed to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people, working to empower them and improve their mental health and wellbeing.

To support this work, the Trustees are recruiting for the above position to join our ambitious staff team. The post is being offered for 9 months, initially, pending the completion of an organisational review.

The postholder will be directly responsible for the provision of a finance and administration support service and will support a wider programme of activities for families. The person appointed will report to the Board of Trustees and work with funders and auditors to maintain financial and administrative systems in line with statutory and organisational requirements.

We are looking for an energetic professional with excellent organisational, communication and ICT skills who can help develop the Society and who can work independently and as part of a small team, demonstrating a positive track record.

Applicants should hold an HND level qualification in Finance or Administration, or equivalent.

WSDCS is an affiliated charity of the National Deaf Children’s Society, delivering consistent and high-quality support based on child-centred principles and practice.
