Role

The Water of Leith Conservation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and organised individual to join our small team as a Visitor Centre Officer. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people of all ages — especially children and volunteers — and has a passion for community engagement and the natural environment.

Based at our popular Visitor Centre in Slateford, you’ll help run the Centre day-to-day, deliver fun and educational outdoor learning activities (including birthday parties), and support a fantastic team of volunteers. With over 20,000 visitors and 170 group bookings each year, no two days are the same!

Key responsibilities include:

·    Managing the day-to-day operation of the Visitor Centre and café

·    Delivering children’s activities and outdoor learning sessions

·    Coordinating stock, shop sales, and room bookings

·    Supporting and recruiting Centre-based volunteers

·    Promoting the Trust's work through social media and visitor engagement
