Role
Have you lived experience of your own alcohol and/or drug use?
Are you qualified to SVQ Level 3 in Social Services & Health Care or equivalent?
Do you have some experience of supporting individuals in recovery or those affected by a loved one’s alcohol and/or drug use?
Are you able to build positive relationships using a compassionate, non-judgemental, person-centred approach with the ability to inspire & motivate others?
Can you work occasionally in the evening / weekends?
Do you have IT skills and a full UK driving licence & access to a car?
If YES, then this might be the tole for you!
We are looking for a Peer Recovery Worker to provide intensive, flexible support and assertive outreach for individuals who are experiencing difficulties in relation to their alcohol and/or drug use and who may have complex vulnerabilities or be at risk of an alcohol or drug related death.
This post funded by South Ayrshire ADP is based within the multi-disciplinary C4C team working alongside staff from We Are With You & NHS START.
The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update.
