35 hours per week. Primarily office hours, but some flexibility around evening and weekend working will be required.
Closing 30 May 2025

Role

Due to the retirement of the previous post holder, The Trustees of Abused Men in Scotland (AMIS) wish to appoint a Head of Services, to manage, monitor and develop AMIS’s work. We believe this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about addressing domestic abuse for all victims and, in particular, ensuring that male victims can have their experience and needs recognised and addressed.

AMIS is a national organisation providing support to men who experience domestic abuse. We have provided a national helpline service since October 2010. In addition to our direct service provision, we advocate for men affected by domestic abuse on a strategic level and work with mainstream services to help improve responses to these men. AMIS is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).

The person appointed will be our most senior employee and will work with the Board of Trustees, staff, service users and funding partners to support the development of the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment of our aims, a deep understanding of the challenges faced by victims of domestic abuse (and in particular male victims) and a proven track record of leadership in a similar setting.
