Edinburgh City Mission was founded in 1832 and, since then, our chief aim is two-fold: to preach the gospel and to alleviate poverty. Our overall mission is to end spiritual, social and physical poverty for those who are disadvantaged, the lonely, the addicted, the poor, the marginalised, the faithless, and those searching for more. We strive to see Edinburgh uplifted and transformed through knowing Jesus Christ and we do this by sharing the Good News of Jesus through word and action.
