The Volunteer Tutors Organisation (VTO) is a charity which provides free educational support to children and young people in need regardless of their background or ability to pay. VTO recruits, trains, places, resources and supports volunteer tutors, to give quality one-to-one educational support to children and young people from low socio-economic backgrounds. We tailor our activities to individual needs of the child and set objectives so that support is specifically focused on each pupil’s problem areas .The overall aim is improvement in their educational attainment, confidence and subsequently their life chances.
