The Arabic-speaking Energy Advisor will work alongside our current Energy Advisor to deliver the Welcoming’s Home Energy programme, funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme. The project aims to tackle and prevent fuel poverty and associated risks by providing free and impartial home energy advice and support to New Scots households in Edinburgh. The post-holder will provide advice and support in both English and Arabic, helping to ensure that Arabic-speaking New Scots can access energy advice in their own language. Please see the Job Description and Person Specification for further information. Please note that you must already be eligible to work in the UK to be employed by The Welcoming Association. The post holder’s base location will be The Welcoming’s office on 20/1 Westfield Avenue, Edinburgh, EH11 2TT. The role will also involve visiting service users’ homes in the Edinburgh area to carry out home energy visits, and remote working from home when suitable.
